thursday 10-22-05

we did a work shop with charlie and steve. this workshop was on wood carving words to wood to make a paint with. i think we have to add a bit of this work shp in our final piece.
it wasn't that good of a work shop but then we learnt a new skill how to carve wood :P... the reason why it wasn't that good was because we didn't gt enough time soo most of it may of been rushed. as we only had an hour to do it all in but next thursday we are going to print the work we have done hopefully it comes out :P.
after lunch, group one stayed in the ase room to do or start the UCAS work, as i already done it just need some one ot check my work i went on the internet to try and start doing the new unit the short short story. i've looked at the other storied and also researched other cartoons to add to my sketch book.
still not sure what story to do but i am sure by monday i know what story i want to do and also may of came up with characters and their designs too.

monday 7th nov

Given new unit called short short story they mean it when its short short story :P ... 90 sec long.
this morning we got a vistor Conrad Tracy course leader for Photography.
he talked about the 3 different levels and what we would have to do also went in to detail to what is needed to be done roughly in each unit.
he also went through workplacement, students work, gest speakers they go in to talk and also about the international visits to New York and london.
he also went on about wards they got and students won. (www.peep2005.com to see work from students).
we watched a video of the peep gallery in london.

note to self:

• dont use black paper to put work on.
• don't pad work in portfilo may kill the work.
• sketch book work
• put in a essay

after break we continued and looked at the unit 11 a bit more. we went on a website to read the stories that we had to turn in to our own lil story. look at websites on the unit 11 brife work sheet.

after lunch we had sally from the visual communcation course . the course is more a mix of graphics and illusration. its for 2 yrs and the classes are small of 26 students.

note to self : collect all type of work i done on random pieces of paper.
