1) Digital hardware devices currently used, avilable to artists are and what they are used for:
Keyboard - to type up work.
Mouse - to move objects or highlight text.
Graphics tablet - to help you draw and colour in photoshops or other art programes.
Scanner - to copy images on to the computer.
Printer - to print out your final piece or draft piece of work.
Digital camera - take images and will be able to change bits also by using a programe.
USB momery stick - to save work you have done on a computer.


2) Digital software applications that we can use for art are and what they do:
Photoshop - to edit images and to mix images together.
Illustion - to draw shapes to make in to a final image.
Dreamweaver - to be able to make websites.
Flash - can make animate images and also be able to do websites
Imovie - will be able to edit films that you have take or to add effects.

3) DPI means Dots per inch.

4) The preferred resoulution for:
Print is 300
Web is 72

5) The following resolutions for:
Greyscale - black and white.
RGB - red, green and blue.
CMYK - cyan, magenta, yellow and black.

6) The following file formats are:
PSD - photoshop documents (layers)
JPEC - compress images (flat)
TIFF - tag image file format (more used in publishing e.g newws and mags)
GIF - animation or moving files (flash art work)

7) The advantages and disadvantages of using a digital camera are:
Advantages -

2)Electronic record system (momery card)

4)90% decrease of radiation

Disadvantages -
1)Cost
2)if yoy delete images wont b able to get them back.
3)dont really get the potography feel to it using the chemicals to make your image.
